Abstract

939,562. Foot-rests. R. P. WRIGHT. Sept. 14, 1962 [May 7, 1962], No. 17382/62. Class 52 (2). A leg andfoot rest 4 is mounted upon the upper ends of a pair of springs 6 secured at their lower ends to a base 11 so that the springs flex in parallel vertical planes. The upper ends of the springs 6 are secured to a rigid base board 5 upon which a cushioned leg support 4 is secured. The lower ends of the springs are secured to the opposite and upstanding ends of a metal tube bent intermediate its ends to form a base 11. A resilient tube may be fitted inside the upstanding ends of the support to project into and support the springs 6. The helical springs shown may be replaced by flexible blade springs.
