Abstract

858,505. Shuttering for casting concrete &c. walls. WEDBERG A. G., W. Aug. 23, 1957 [Aug. 30, 1956], No. 26459/56. Class 20(2) A shuttering panel comprises a moulding face plate 2, Figs. 3, 4 of plywood &c. mounted on cleats 3 having inclined ends to fit the Z-section side members 5 the cleats slant in opposite directions and each has a tie 10 extending from one side member along one side of the cleat, over the edge at 11 and along the other side to the other side member. The upper and lower frame members 26 of the panel having a metal strip 27 protects the edge of the face plate 2. Nuts 12 on the.ends of the tie secure the parts in place. The panels are secured together on opposite sides of the wall to be cast by ties 14, Figs. 1, 2 which are secured by devices 16, 20, 21 which secure the panels side by side, and comprise a cone 21 abutting lugs 32 on the tie, a U-section bracket 16 embracing the tie and having arms 23, 24 engaging the side members 5 and a clamping wedge 20 between the arms and the head 14a of the tie. To fill a gap between two panels a plate is threaded on the tie 14 between the cones 21 and the panels and the bracket 16 is also turned on the tie to engage both panels. A corner panel comprises two moulding face plate 2, Fig. 10 secured to wooden mouldings 35, 36 with side members 5<SP>1</SP>, cleats 39 and ties 40. The lugs 32 are pressed out of the ties to form notches which weaken it for final breaking off with the lugs so that the cone 21 is also removed.
