857,842. Support bracket for textile drafting mechanisms. SKF KUGELLAGERFABRIKEN G.m.b.H. March 3, 1959 [April 11, 1958], No. 7402/59. Class 120(2). [Also in Group XXV] A clamping bracket 2 for a pivotally mounted top roll carrier and weighting arm in textile drafting mechanisms consists of a plurality of parts and is held on a stationary supporting bar 1 by a screw connection and is characterized in that resiliently deformable lateral portions 2<SP>1</SP> of the bracket are held at a predetermined distance from each other and are formed with opposite apertures 11 to receive a member, for example a nut 8, to co-operate with a threaded bolt 7 which also makes contact with a bridging member either received in opposite apertures 11<SP>1</SP>, as shown, or resting against exposed supporting surfaces on the lateral portions 21, so that the bolt 7 secures the bracket 2 to the bar 1 by resilient deformation of the portions 21. Preferably the bolt is of the type having a socket 13 in the head for a tool to release or tighten the belt, and the apertures 11<SP>1</SP> or support surfaces may be conversely curved to ensure proper seating of the bridging member 9<SP>1</SP>.
