Abstract

856,724. Annunciators. WESTINGHOUSE ELECTRIC CORPORATION. Dec. 9, 1957 [Jan. 22, 1957], No. 38189/57. Class 40 (1). An annunciator comprises a bistable electronic device FF1 operative in one of its states to operate an alarm and at least one indicator channel with a signal initiating device (TC1) and a further bistable electronic device (FF1) which operates an indicator (L1) and triggers off the bi-stable device (FF2) that operates the alarm (47). As disclosed, transistors are used both for the bi-stable devices and as amplifiers therefore. An alarm reset (41) and an indicator reset (25) are provided. A lamp test switch 52 is provided and illuminates the lamp in the absence of a signal for test purposes. A relay 40 may actuate tripping contacts. A modified circuit arrangement in which the indicator lights are extinguished on receipt of an alarm signal is also disclosed.
