An attachment for drilling or milling- machines or lathes, comprises fluid-operated means for traversing a work-table 11 at feed and rapid-traverse-speeds. One lug 112 on the base of the table is connected to the piston-rod of a rapid-traverse air-controlled device 122 operated manually, and another lug 113 slides along the rod 151 of a fluid dash-pot device 153 having a manually-adjustable control valve. A collar 161 and nuts 162 on the rod 151 control the point at which the feed-speed is introduced. Feed ceases and the table is returned when a dog 115 on the table actuates a valve 18.
