855,603. Tube &c. couplings. PRECISION ELECTRONIC TERMINATIONS Ltd. March 13, 1957, No. 8356/57. Class 99(1). In a coupling for tubular elements 1, 2, a longitudinally split sleeve 3 has an inward, parallel-sided flange C for engagement in a groove G in the element 1 and an inward, V-shaped flange SH adapted to ride over an angular projection Y provided on the element 2, a sleeve 4 slidable on the element 2 being passed over the sleeve 3 to prevent expansion of the sleeve 3 and uncoupling of the elements. As shown, the sleeve 4 is biased to a locking position by a spring X, and the sleeve may have internal projections for engagement in grooves in the sleeve 3.
