855,473. Signs. UNITED-CARR FASTENER CORPORATION. Nov. 11, 1958 [Nov. 15, 1957], No. 36272/58. Class 3 (2) [Also in Group XXV] A closure assembly for attachment to an apertured support comprises in combination an attaching member 12 comprising a base portion 20 having resilient means 28 extending substantially perpendicular thereto for engagement with the apertured support, the base portion having a central aperture 22 and gripping arms 36 extending inwardly of the central aperture, a cap 14 of synthetic plastic material assembled with the attaching member by means of a wall portion 42 of said cap inserted through the central aperture and gripped by said arms, the cap comprising a flanged head portion 38 and the said portion and a disc 16 snapped into engagement with the wall portion. As shown the resilient means comprises a plurality of fingers which snap engage the wall 30 of the apertured support 18 the ends of the fingers being bent inwardly. The cap is made of a transparent material such as polyvinyl chloride or acrylic resin and it has a circumferential groove 44 to receive the disc 16 which is also made of a resilient plastic material. Between the disc means and the head portion of the cap decorative material 49 is placed or alternatively designs are stamped or impressed on the underside of the cap or on the disc 16.
