Abstract

Acrylonitrile polymers are spin-dyed with basic dyestuffs soluble in solvents used for spinning, such as dimethyl formamide, dimethyl sulphone, ethylene carbonate or nitromethane, the dyestuffs which are used having been precipitated from their aqueous solutions, preferably by sulphonic acids or water-soluble salts thereof. Specification 817,614 is referred to.
