854,057. Frying ranges. KESTNER EVAPORATOR & ENGINEERING CO. Ltd. Sept. 26, 1958 [Nov. 7, 1957], No. 34687/57. Class 126. A frying range comprises a trough 20 for the frying oil arranged to be heated by combustion gases from burners 23 in a plurality of tubular combustion chambers 22 fitted inside and extending transversely across the trough and is characterised by a casing 21, disposed externally of the trough and arranged to be traversed by the products of combustion leaving the trough, and a sinuous tube 29 passing through the casing and through which oil is circulated from the trough by the pump 30. The products of combustion are drawn through the external casing by a fan 33 and are made to follow a sinuous path by the provision of a baffle 27. The fan may be disposed centrally of the casing, the baffle then allowing gases to pass round either end.
