Class 100(2) In a method of duplicating a pattern or outline a master sheet having the pattern or outline marked thereon is fed from a roller or. spool between a pair of impression rollers on to a rewinding roller or spool, and a continuous sheet of duplicating paper in a dampened state is simultaneously fed between the impression rollers, wherebv the sheets are pressed together to transfer the pattern or outline to the duplicating paper. The impression rollers 4, 5 are mounted on shafts 6, 7, and in half-bearings 2, 3 on frames 1. A screw 11 slides the half bearings to adjust the pressure. The master sheet 9 passes from a spool 12 between the rollers to a spool 15. The duplicating paper 10 passes from a spool 21 over a spirit-dampened wick 24 and between the rollers, after which there may be means to separate it from the master sheet or it may be severed. The shaft 7 is geared to the shaft 6, which is rotated by a hand-wheel 8, and drives the spool 15 through a chain 20 and sprockets 17, 18, the master sheet being wound on the spool at a slightly slower speed than its speed between the rollers to allow it to dry.
