Abstract
A nickel base alloy having a high creep resistance and suitable for castings comprises Cr 5-30%, Al > 5-10%, W 2-10%, Mo 3-15%, B 0.1-2%, C 0.05-0.5%, Mn 0.05-2%, Si 0.05-2%, Co 30%, Fe 20%, Nb > 1-6%, Ni *?* 50% balance. The W and Mo together exceed 5%. The following may also be added:- Ti 5%, Ta 6%, Be 2%, Cu 5%, V 5%. Also customary deoxidants in normal quantities. Specification 607,616 is referred to.
