Class 64(1) Water for a central heating system is heated in two interconnected jackets 1, 2 by gases from a combustion chamber 3 below the inner jacket 2 while a separate draw-off supply is heated in a single or multiple coil 8 arranged, with the thermal element 15 of a thermostat 14, in a chamber 9 interconnecting the jackets 1, 2 at the front of the boiler. There is an oil burner 10 or a combustion chamber door at the front of the boiler. The flue space surrounded by the jacket 2 may be closed at the bottom as shown, except for a small opening, below the flue outlet 7.
