Abstract
849,157. Nuclear reactors. PARSONS & CO. Ltd., C. A. Aug. 11, 1958 [Sept. 27, 1957], No. 30319/57. Class 39(4). A fuel element for a nuclear reactor comprising fuel housed in a container having on its outer surface fins 2 which are helically disposed with respect to the central axis of the container and baffles 3 extending axially of the container interrupting the channels formed between the fins, the baffles extending outwardly beyond the tips of the fins, is characterised in that the part of each baffle which is located beyond the fins is corrugated.
