Abstract
847,489. Mineral-coated vegetable parchment &c. FELDMUHLE PAPIERUND ZELLSTOFFWERKE A.G. Oct. 2, 1956 [Oct. 13, 1955; May 23, 1956], No. 30051/56. Classes 96 and 140. Vegetable parchment, or imitation parchment, or regenerated cellulose foil &c. is made impermeable to light and steam by coating it with an aqueous dispersion of 35 to 65% of a non-metallic pigment, e.g. titanium dioxide and china clay, and a synthetic resin, e.g. urea- or malamine-aldehyde or a polyvinyl-acrylic polymer, in which may be included some casein, starch, or modified starch. The coating may be treated with formaldehyde solution or vapour.
