Description

Zellulosefolie.

Cellulose film. For certain purposes, e.g. B. as packaging material, the transparency of the usual cellulose films is sometimes disadvantageous. For this reason, opaque foils have already been produced by processing cellulose masses containing pigments, but this process is rather cumbersome and costly, since one has to rely on pigments with very special properties in terms of grain size etc. if uniform products are obtained who should.

It has now been found that opaque foils can be produced in a much simpler way if colorless or colored transparent cellulose foils are provided with a pigment-containing lacquer coating on at least one side.

The subject of the invention is therefore a cellulose film which is characterized in that it is provided with a pigment-containing lacquer coating on at least one side. The coating can consist of any varnish, whereby one preferably chooses sol surfaces that bind well with the film surface as a result of their solvent power. As a dye, the paint can contain one or more of the colorless or colored pigments customary for the production of paints.

If desired, the pigment-containing coating can be protected against mechanical and atmospheric influences by a layer of lacquer or a top layer of wax or paraffin.

The films obtained in this way have, as has been shown, the same good properties in terms of suppleness and, if the pigment layer is only applied on one side, the high gloss as the transparent material. When using colored foils and white pigments or colored pigments and colorless or colored foils, the pigment layer is transparent to the. term films achieved a significantly brighter look.
