Abstract

847,427. Wire terminals. HOLLANDSE SIGNAALAPPARATEN N.V. April 1, 1958 [April 2, 1957], No. 10417/58. Class 38(1) The tag end of a terminal .member 3 (Fig. 1) has a screw hole 6 through its flat central part, its side edges being bent inwards to form lips 4, 7 which, when compressed by the screw head, grip the screw in a recessed groove under its head to hold it captive. Curved recesses 5, 8 may be formed in the lips. The ferrule part may be omitted, the conductor or conductors being laid under and gripped by the lips 4<SP>1</SP>, 71 as shown in Fig. 4. Instead of, or in addition to, the ferrule, the tag may be provided with lips 14 (Fig. 3) to prevent it from rotating.
