Abstract

847,299. Transformers. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO. Ltd. Feb. 19, 1959 [March 17, 1958], No. 8458/58. Class 38 (2). A polyphase current transformer comprises a pair of cores 1 linked with each phase conductor 2 and having series-connected D.C. control windings 6, delta-connected secondary windings 3 and pairs of auxiliary windings 7 each pair being connected in series opposition in a closed circuit through a rectifier 8. The windings 7 develop even harmonic currents and the rectified currents produced therefrom assist the D.C. control currents in windings 6. The transformer may have only one pair of cores for single-phase use. Specification 835,924 is referred to.
