Abstract

847,271. Agricultural implements. MASSEYFERGUSON Inc. Nov. 14, 1956, No. 34800/56. Class 6(1). An implement for attachment to a tractor comprises an implement frame 10 attached by vertically spaced parallel arms 53, 57 to an attaching frame 32 having a portion 35 adapted to register with and be secured to the tractor and an adjusting member 70 between the implement and attaching frame whereby the frame 32 can be adjusted relative to the implement so as to enable the frame 32 to be connected to the tractor. As shown the implement frame 10 is mounted in tubes 22 fixed to standards 28 to which the arms 53, 57 are pivotally attached. The portion 35 is fixed on a bar 33 on which are mounted brackets 50 to which are connected the arms 53, 57. The member 70 is formed as a screwed rod and is fitted with an adjusting knob 65. Movement of the knob 65 causes the frame 32 to be raised or lowered to enable the implement to be lined up with the tractor for attachment thereto. The implement frame is raised or lowered by means of a control shaft connected to a lever 49 fixed to a rockable shaft 42 provided with arms 44 in which are mounted lift rods 46 connected to the lower arms 53.
