The apparatus of Fig. 1 of the parent Specification is modified in that the rake prongs are replaced by picker rollers 3a with helical rows of pins 33 and rotated by chain drives from gears 23 meshing fixed gears 19 and free on the crank pins 21 of the crank discs 5a driving the rake frame 4 the stripper grid being omitted and chain drives 9 replacing the elliptical gear drive to the crank discs 5a. Reference is made to the prior use of an endless rotating conveyer with picker rolls.
