817,933. Slitting of indenting potato slices. STAHMER, B. March 17, 1958, No. 8516/58. Class 5(1). [Also in Group VI] Potato slices or chips are pierced or perforated to accelerate cooking by passing the slice on a conveyer belt under a toothed roller of discs 96. The teeth may be shaped to make slits or diamond or circular depressions in the potato slice as in Figs. 8 and 9. During cooking the slits may close up. The slices are fed in under a guide bar 124, the other end 120 of which detaches them from the teeth.
