Abstract
846,767. Fluid-pressure servomotor control systems. SERTEC SOC. D'ETUDES ET DE RECHERCHES TECHNIQUES. Aug. 19, 1957 [Aug. 29, 1956], No. 26179/57. Class 135. A pressure-regulating valve comprises a piston element 1b, the forward end of which bears against a valve 1a urged to the closed position, in which it cuts off communication between the main supply duct A and a by-pass 4, by a spring 6 bearing against the rear of the piston 1b, which is also subjected to the pressure of fluid passing from the duct A through a restriction 8 and bled off through a pipe 11a under the control of a manually or automatically operated valve 11. In the event of a pressure rise in duct A, valve 1a is moved to the right against spring 6 to establish communication between duct A and by-pass 4 through a groove 13 in the valve body. As shown the bleed control valve is of the rotary plug type, with a circumferentially tapering port 160 in the plug 16 which is operated by a hand lever 17, whose angular setting thus controls the regulated pressure. In a modification, Fig. 1 (not shown), a single piston is used in place of the separate members la, 1b.
