Abstract

846,605. Lamps combined with key holders. SEGER, E. Jan. 14, 1959 [Jan. 17, 1958], No. 1729/58. Class 39(2). [Also in Group XXV] A key comprises a retaining member 13 which is intended to reach through perforations in the keys and is held in a flexible envelope 10 and the envelope is adapted to cover the keys and also houses a switch controlled torch 12 operated by a dry battery. As shown, the retaining member 13 is a rod secured at one end to one part of the envelope 10 by a head 15 and having a detachable head 16 at the other end by which another part of the envelope may be lifted clear of the rod to remove or refit a key thereto. The envelope is adapted to be folded double around the keys and to be fastened by a snap fastener 17, 18. The torch is located in a housing 11 and comprises a metal casing 20 closed by an insulated bulb cover 19, and an electric battery 24, the centre contact 25 of which is held off the centre contact of the bulb 22 by a spring 23 which engages the other contact of the bulb and the metal casing of the battery. The torch is operated by a push switch 21. In a modification Figs. 4-6 (not shown), the member 13 is constituted by a plate carrying spring clips each of which engages a key perforation.
