Abstract

852,785. Cam-operated switches. PARSONS Ltd., C. H., and HANDLEY, G. B. May 14, 1959 [June 21, 1958], No. 19954/58. Class 38 (5). A double-ended operating member 30, one or other of whose ends protrude from a cover 10 in each position of a switch, contains an indicator lamp 32 visible through a window 33, and its ballast resistance 37. The member 30 is pivoted intermediate its ends and has a cam portion 36 acting across the line of action of a spring 25 bearing on a lever 22 carrying a bridging contact 24, the lever 22 being pivoted by lugs engaged in grooves 27. The lamp may be lit when the switch is closed, or when it is open, or may be lit permanently.
