Abstract
845,498. Insulators. COMPAGNIE GENERAL D'ELECTRO - CERAMIQUE. Dec. 29, 1958 [March 7, 1958], No. 41939/58. Class 36. An insulator of the self-cleaning type having at least one helically disposed fin 4 integral with a cylindrical body 3 is provided with one or more protuberances 6 and 7 on one or both faces of the fin between the outer edge 5 and the cylindrical body 3. In addition protuberances may be provided at the outer edge 5. The section profile a, b, c, d, d <SP>1</SP>, c<SP>1</SP>, b I, a <SP>1</SP> is preferably symmetrical about the axis o, 0<SP>1</SP> so that it may be produced by turning an unfired blank. French Specification 1,168,668 is referred to.
