844,507. Roller way conveyers. OFU OFENBAU-UNION G.m.b.H. May 6, 1958 [May 16, 1957], No. 14462/58. Class 51 (2). Alternate rollers 2, 3 of a roller way conveyer in a furnace are mounted at opposite sides of the furnace to project across the full width of the furnace in overhung manner. The rollers can be closely spaced while still allowing buttresses 10 for the furnace walls between the bearings 6. The rollers may carry collars 20, 30, Fig. 3, the collars on alternate rollers interengaging. The rollers are of tubular, non-cooled construction, and the thickness of the tube walls decreases towards the free end of the roller.
