[Also in Groups XVII and XXV] A clip device for documents or files comprises two substantially planar portions connected at one edge to receive the documents between them, at least one inwardly directed hook on one portion extending into an aperture in the other portion, at least one of the portions being of resilient material to allow insertion and removal of the documents and the hook being shaped to facilitate insertion of the documents. As in Fig. 2, a suspension rod 2, with bent down ends to slide over rails, has a rear portion 2a formed at intervals with hooks 5e which enter into apertures 7e in lugs 6e depending from an integral bar rigidly secured to the rear portion 2a, the lugs being movable to the dotted position for removal of the documents 1a, 1b, which are positioned by a shoulder 12. The two portions may be glued together and a sheath 10 for index labels may assist in holding the portions to. gether or form the means by which they are held. The hook 5e may be shaped as shown with curved lower edge or may be cut back at a sharp angle. As in Fig. 5, the two portions may be formed in one piece, as from moulded synthetic resin, the hooks 20a, 20b being formed on elements 18a, 18c cut out from the main element 21, the elements 18a, 18c and a central element 18b having projecting shoulders 23a, 23b, 23c for positioning the top edges 22a, 22b of a file. A cross-piece 19 carries a label holder, similar to holder 10. Further embodiments are shown.
