842,751. Electric watches. HAMILTON WATCH CO. Oct. 23, 1957 [Dec. 31, 1956], No. 33065/57. Class 139 In a watch having an electromagnetically maintained balance the moving coil or coils are so shaped that coil parts co-operate simultaneously with at least three magnetic fields. In the first embodiment the coil 38, which is embedded in a sheet of synthetic resin, is shaped as shown in Fig. 3 and co-operates with four short cylindrical magnets 52, 54, 56, 58 press fitted into the plate 10. The magnetic fields are limited by a lower shunt member 70 and a similarly shaped upper shunt member. In the second embodiment two coils 118, 120 embedded in a sheet of synthetic resin are shaped and disposed as shown in Fig. 5 to co-operate with three short cylindrical magnets 110, 112, 114.
