Abstract
841,344. Linkwork. THOMAS, A. Oct. 9, 1958, No. 32318/58. Class 80 (3). [Also in Group XXVIII] A flexible chamber pump (see Group XXVIII) is actuated by oscillating arms 170 mounted on a cross-head 185 which carries the limb 186 of a T-member whose other limb 187 is mounted in a ball-joint 188. The ball-joint 188 is mounted eccentrically of the axis of the rotating drive shaft 190 which is mounted in bearings 193 carried by a member 194. As the shaft 190 rotates the limb 187 traces out a conical surface and the arm 170 oscillate about the axis 192. The member 194 is movable axially relatively to a stationary member 195 to adjust the axially position of the limb 187 in the ball-joint 188 to vary the amount of oscillation of the arms 170.
