841,188. Variable track wheels. ROTARY HOES Ltd. Feb. 16, 1959 [Feb. 18, 1958], No. 5190/58. Class 144 (2). A variable track wheel comprises a tyre-carrying rim 20 which seats on an axial peripheral flange 19 projecting to one side of a wheel disc 17 which bolts on to a radial flange 16 of an axle 15, the rim 20 having circumferentially spaced radial studs 24 projecting inwardly from its base to locate in correspondingly spaced helical slots 21 opening from the disc side of the flange 19, and the slots having countersunk enlargements 22 therealong to co-operate with a clamping nut 25 on each stud and to provide for a number of relative axial positions of the rim on the wheel disc flange. The wheel disc is reversible on the axle 15 to double the number of axial positions of the rim relative to the wheel axle.
