839,266. Pistons. YALE & TOWNE MANUFACTURING CO. Nov. 6, 1957, No. 34575/57. Class 122 (1). [Also in Group XXX] Cylinders 25 and 31 of hydraulic rams in the mast assembly of a fork lift truck (see Group XXX) are provided with bushings 34 to centre each piston 18, 32, at one end of its cylinder and, to guide the other end of each piston, a sectional bearing 35 is mounted in a groove near the end of the piston. Studs 36, Fig. 5, hold the sections of each bearing 35 with their ends in spaced relation to permit fluid to flow past the bearing between the end and side surfaces of the piston. Specifications 630,168 and 807,940 are referred to.
