838,604. Cutting by fusion. THORN & HODDLE Ltd. March 27, 1958 [April 3, 1957], No. 10858/57. Addition to 679,731. Class 83 (4). In oxygen-cutting apparatus for tubes as des- .cribed in the parent Specification, the workpiece 21 is rotatably supported on a carriage 14 movable parallel to the workpiece axis along a base 10, and a template 19 attached to the workpiece co-operates with an abutment 17 on the base whereby the workpiece is moved axially as it is rotated. The workpiece rests on serrated rollers 22 which are rotated by a handle 25 through worm gearing 24, and is supported by an upper roller 29 carried on transverse arms 28. Template 19 is attached to the workpiece by a socket 20. The carriage has rollers 13 running along rails 12. Oxygen burner 34 is adjustably mounted at 36.
