Abstract
838,587. Clamp for warp ends. ZELLWEGER Ltd. Aug. 28, 1958 [Sept. 10, 1957], No. 27701/58. Class 142(1) A device for clamping the cut end 4 of a warp comprises a comb 2 which can be engaged with the warp and retained by inserting a rod 5 through holes in the teeth 1. The comb is then inserted into a clamp consisting of a fixed jaw 10 and a movable jaw 11 which is tightened by relative endwise movement of bars 12, 13 having cam formations of saw-tooth shape on their contacting faces. Bevels 6 on the teeth 1 draw the comb into the clamp to grip the threads 4 between the jaws 10, 11 and the body 3 of the comb.
