Abstract

836,349. Partitioned boxes. ROX-LEDER. WARENFABRIK G.m.b.H. Aug. 22, 1958 [July 10, 1958], No. 27008/58. Class 18. A box 1 for holding e.g. photographic equipment has removable partitions 8, 9, 10 made of elastic material and provided with vertical sleeves 11 holding resilient bars 13 the ends of which are inserted into holes 7 punched out of leather strips 3 and 4 secured to the upper and lower edges of the inside surface 2. In a modification, these strips comprise downwardly and upwardly facing open pockets respectively, and the partitions are formed of two pieces of fabric stitched face-to-face to provide a plurality of sleeves ; slits are provided near each end of each sleeve to allow of insertion of the resilient bars. The box can thus be partitioned in any suitable manner. In a further modification, the sleeves of adjacent partitions may be used to secure an auxiliary longitudinal partition; and the partitions may have portions with sleeves of reduced height. Yet a further modification comprises plastics retaining members 49, see Fig. 5, provided on one face with a resilient bar of which the ends 54, 55 engage in the holes or pockets and on the other face with a groove 50 in which is received the rigid edge of a partition. The lid of the box may be similarly partitioned.
