833,707. Loud-speaker combinations. GAMZON, R. R. Feb. 25, 1957 [Feb. 28, 1956], No. 6322/57. Class 40 (4). [Also in Group XL (c)] An arrangement for the spatial distribution of sound comprises a cabinet 1 having a low-frequency loud-speaker 2, a medium-frequency loud-speaker 3 and an extensible arm 4 carrying a high-frequency loud-speaker 5. The speakers 2 and 3 may be on the front wall as shown or on the side walls of the cabinet. The base part 4a of the arm 4 may pass through a ball joint 9, Fig. 2, so that the arm may be fully retracted to reside in a channel 12 within the cabinet, which is recessed at 6 to accommodate the speaker 5. The arm 4 may form part of the aerial for a wireless set mounted in the cabinet. The supporting arm may instead comprise hinged sections, " lazy tongs " or may be of the " stayput " type, Fig. 3 (not shown).
