Abstract

An antimisting composition, particularly suitable for application to glass surfaces, comprises (a) finely-divided "soap nuts," (b) non-soapy detergent, and (c) a volatile diluent, such as water, methylated spirit, industrial alcohol, or white spirit, the amount of (a) present being 1-10%, preferably 2-3%, by weight of (b). The "soap nuts" (a) are the seeds of the soapberry, Sapindus sapenaria; (b) may be any liquid or solid domestic detergent. The composition may be compounded with extenders, diluents, perfume, and colouring materials, and made up in paste, cream, or liquid form. Specification 762,692 is referred to.
