Abstract

829,488. Discharge tubes. EGYESULT IZZOLAMPA ES VILLAMOSSAGI R.T. March 6, 1956 [March 16, 1955], No. 7076/56. Class 39(1). A unitary anode and grid structure comprises a plane.anode 2 coated with an insulating layer 3, and a metallic layer 4 provided on the insulation to form the grid. In the form shown, layers 3 and 4 have small registering holes 5, 8 so that only a small spot of the anode surface is uncovered. In another arrangement, Figs. 2 and 3 (not shown), the layers 3 and 4 do not cover the entire anode area but are formed as narrow U-shaped layers in register with each other. The layer 3 may be SiO 2 , Al 2 O 3 , or BeO, deposited by cataphoresis, vaporization, or from smoke. The layer 4 may also be formed by vaporization. Specification 829,487 and Hungarian Specification 142,508 are referred to.
