Abstract

A fuel cell has coaxial electrodes formed by depositing layers on a support 1 (the anode) the first 7 being an electrolyte containing refractory oxide and the outer being a metal forming the cathode. The cathode may be used as the support and the anode as the outer layer. The molten salt electrolyte may be impregnated into the refractory oxide or may be sprayed thereon or therewith.
