Abstract

A blend of textile materials which is union-dyeable with substantive, vat, sulphur and azoic dyestuffs comprises cotton and/or viscose rayon fibres in admixture with fibres of a polymer or copolymer of acrylonitrile containing up to 20% by weight of an N-vinyl-3-morpholinone polymer or an N-vinyl-2-oxazolidinone polymer as a dye-assisting adjuvant. The poly-N-vinyl-3-morpholinone may contain alkyl substituents in the ring and the poly-N-vinyl-2-oxazolidinone may contain alkyl or aryl substituents in the ring, and copolymers of N-vinyl-3-morpholinone or of N-vinyl-2-oxazolidinone with other monomers may be employed.
