Abstract

An electrically conductive composition consists of a mixture of 35-77% of polyethylene, 5-45% of polyisobutylene, and 10-23% of conductive carbon black. The polyethylene may be "low-pressure" polyethylene, i.e. of density above 0.93, and may contain up to 1% of an antioxidant. The compositions are used as dielectric layers in insulated electric conductors (see Group XXXVI).
