Abstract

828,215. Sliding jaw clamps. BELLING & LEE Ltd. May 17, 1957 [June 21, 1956], No. 19222/56. Class 44 [Also in Group XL(c)] Two co-operating support members 6 and 11 are clamped round the top end of an aerial mast 5 by a pair of nuts and bolts of which one 20, 18, is shown. Each member supports a pair of aerial elements and the top end 10 of the mast 5 is left substantially free from obstruction. The member 11 has two divergent arms, of which one (13) is shown, shaped to receive the end of an aerial element 4 which may be clamped thereto by halfclamp 23 and a co-operating bolt and wing- nut. Support member 6 also has two divergent arms, one similar to the arm 13 and the other holding its aerial element in an insulated manner and carrying a connecting box. A small projection 9 may be formed on the mast engaging face of the member 6 in a position where it will abut the top end of the mast tube and prevent the aerial slipping down the mast.
