Abstract

826,513. Toothed gearing. UNITED KING- DOM ATOMIC ENERGY AUTHORITY. Feb. 21, 1958 [March 8, 1957], No. 7710/57. Class 80 (1). Epicyclic gearing for transmitting rotary motion through the wall 19 of a closed vessel is contained in a casing 14 secured in an aperture in the wall, and comprises a gyrating gear 1 which is mounted on an eccentric 6 of the exterior driving shaft 7 and engages internal teeth on an interior driven gear 5, the gear 1 being held against rotation by four fixed pegs 10 engaging circular recesses therein, and being sealed in the casing 14 by a flexible bellows 12 attached to an end-plate 15 of the casing. The driving shaft 7 is rotatable in a tubular support 22 coaxial with the driven gear 5.
