Abstract

825.851. Dry shavers. SIEMENSSCHUCKERTWERKE A.G. March 15, 1956 [April 20, 1955], No. 8216/56. Class 131 A dry shaver comprises inner cutters 1, 2 reciprocated beneath a foil screen and a comb type cutting plate, respectively, to provide a close shaver and a long hair cutter disposed for simultaneous application to the skin, the cutters being coupled to a common drive 3 by means having different transmission ratios and the close shaver cutter 1 having the higher speed. The cutters are reciprocated by gear wheels 41A, 42A, 41B, 42B and cranks 51, 52 engaging in shank slots 61, 62. In modifications lever arms of different lengths or cams of different throw provide the power transmission means.
