Abstract

825,580. Two-part couplings. ROLLSROYCE Ltd. Jan. 28, 1958 [Jan. 28, 1957], No. 3042/57. Class 38 (1). Pin-and-socket contacts 13 and 19 are mounted in the plug-and-socket members 18, 10 of a cable connector in blocks 20, 14 of vibration absorbing material such as rubber and pass, with a clearance, through blocks 15, 16, 21, 22 of heat-resisting material. The joint between members 10 and 18 is sealed by a soft metal ring 31 and relative rotation of the members is prevented by a key 10H fixed to socket member 10. Members 10 and 18 are held in engagement by a screwed sleeve 12 locked by a clicker mechanism as described in Specification 825,579.
