Abstract

Class 120(2) A false-twist tube comprises a head having a recessed end into which a bent wire member is sprung: the ends of the wire are further bent to form loops or hooks around one or more of which the yarn to be twisted is passed. In the tubes shown in Figs. 2, 3, and 5, 6, a resilient S-shaped member fits within a recess 11 in a head 9 and a flange 12 has openings 13 which facilitate threading-up. In another modification, Figs. 7 8, the recess 11 and flange 12 are continuous and loops 14 have a double turn and are so inclined as to be accessible for threading-up.
