A dough rolling machine comprises a large and a small roller 1, 2 of metal mounted between walls, F, Fl and a seat T of rubber mounted on two flexible metallic segments C surrounding the roller 1, the spacing between the rollers 1, 2 and between the roller 1 and the sheet T being regulated by separate mechanical means. The distance between the rollers 1, 2 is adjusted by foot pressure acting through a system of levers 15, 14, 19, 17, 18 to move a tension pulley 10 and so, through a driving belt 24, pulleys 6, 11 ; the roller 2 being mounted on the spindle of the pulley 11. The roller 1 is gear-driven from a pulley 5 driven by a belt 4 from a motor M. The lever 15 is depressed against the tension of a spring R, and the roller 2 is clamped in its adjusted position by nuts 13, 13<SP>1</SP> in slots e.g. 12. The gap between the seat T and the roller 1 is narrowed or widened by the pull or push of radial rods 25 which slide in guides 35 and are pivoted at their inner ends to central plates P which can be rotated by levers 20, actuated by a transverse rod 171 moving in guides 27. The dough is flattened between the rollers 1, 2 and then rolled into cylindrical shape between the roller 1 and the sheet T, emerging to fall on a shelf 30. The roller 1 can have a foam rubber surface, and the sheet T can be of cloth with the same elastic effect as rubber.
