Abstract

821,370. Tracking endless conveyer bands. PACKMAN, P. J. April 10, 1958 [April 11, 1957], No. 11851/57. Class 78 (1). A thin endless conveyer band 1 is maintained running centrally by a guide-plate 3 adjacent each edge on which are mounted a number of inwardly-extending pins 6, 7, 8, 9 adapted to corrugate the edges of the band as it passes the guide-plate, thereby preventing buckling of these edges. The plates 3 are adjustably secured by set-screws to a transverse rod 2. The band is arranged to pass over this rod 2, over the pins 6, 7 and under the pins 8, 9. The pins 6-9 are short relative to the width of the band and have rounded ends.
