Abstract

Pelts are folded around aprons hung at equal intervals from two endless conveyor chains which take them through a stripper battery consisting of at least two pairs of tiered drums on opposite sides of the aprons. The bearings of the drums run on slides perpendicular to the pass of the skins and are subjected to spring pressure adjustable by a handwheel.
