Abstract

821,008. Loom shuttles. HELD, H., and WAGNER, C., [trading as EGELHAAF, C. C. ]. Oct. 31, 1957 [Oct. 8, 1957], No. 33961/57. Class 142(2) In an automatic loom in which the residue of a cop is removed from the shuttle by an ejector hook 3, the threading slit is closed by a spring urged pawl 5 which is displaced by the hook as the shuttle enters the box and is returned to its normal position by its spring 10. After the insertion of a new cop, the weft enters the threading slit 4, passes round the end of the pawl 5 which lies within a recess 12 in the wall of the slit and is retained beneath the pawl. The spring may be exchanged for one of different strength.
