Class 108(2) [Also in Groups XXX and XXXI] In a side operating fork lift truck (see Group XXX), four road wheels 12 are each mounted on turntables 35 supported at their periphery by three equi-spaced rollers 60. The rollers supporting the turntables on one side of the truck are attached to the truck frame, while on the other side of the truck the rollers are mounted on frames 62 pivoted to the truck frame through links 63, 64. Hydraulic piston and cylinder arrangements 77, 73 are pivoted between each link 64 and the truck frame, the cylinders 73 being connected in closed circuit through pipes 79. so that when one of the wheels 12 is forced upwards, fluid is forced from its cylinders 73 into the corresponding cylinders of the other wheel. forcing the latter downwards.
