Abstract

820,193. Supporting cables. POLYMER CORPORATION. Aug. 8, 1957 [Feb. 18, 1957], No. 25016/57. Class 36. [Also in Group XXV] A clip device 10 for maintaining a bend in resilient elongated member 12 comprises an intermediate body portion 14 flanked by end portions 24, the body portion being formed with an opening to define an open channel having a dimension sufficiently large to permit radial insertion of the resilient member 12, the end portions 24 through which the opening extends including overlying ears for embracing the radially outermost portion of the resilient member when the resilient member is bent and positioned in the channel, the channel facing radially outwardly with respect to the radius of curvature of the bend. As shown, the end portions are formed by spiralling the ends of the edges 16 and 18 defining the channel. The channel may be of V-shaped in cross-section.
